Hello!  We are the Somos El Son Dance Company, a locally and nationally recognized Salsa Dance Company from Seattle Washington.   We are committed to  introducing and bringing the joy of Salsa Dance to our community, as well as spread enthusiasm and interest for Salsa as far and wide as it can reach.

For the past nine years, Somos El Son has offered numerous fantastic shows to its loyal supporters, performing in Seattle as a special guest at the Oscar de L’eon concert, Seattle Folk Life Festival, Rumba del Barrio 2006 and 2007, Seattle Salsa Congress 2007 & 2008, as well as at various corporate events such as Adbash, for Accenture, and for the new EMP exhibit, American Sabor.  We also perform regularly at local clubs/venues that support a “latin” night.  Somos El Son has also performed in various events in Portland OR to support the further growth of salsa in the NW scene, as well as at the International Vancouver Salsa Congress 2005 and 2006 (B.C., Canada), San Francisco Salsa Congress 2006, 2007, 2008, L.A. Salsa Congresses 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2007, and New York Salsa Congress 2008.

SEEKING NEW MEMBERS!! 
We are looking for new members to join Somos El Son Dance Company!  If you are interested, please contact us at which time we will send you complete details.   Anyone who is interested in Performance Salsa (including all beginners) is eligible, and will eventually be placed into a spot onto our amateur team and semi-professional team. 

 

Joining a performance team is the number one best way to take your salsa dancing to the next level.  It gives you the advantages of a private lesson in a group setting, while at the same time, preparing you to perform on stage! Somos El Son Dance Company wants to give anyone who is interested in performing, a chance for the spotlight!
